Bitgrass DAO is a governance system that allows NFT holders within the Bitgrass ecosystem to participate in decision-making. Governance is conducted through Snapshot, a platform enabling voting without gas fees.
This structure ensures transparency and community involvement in key actions related to the Bitgrass project.
Why Bitgrass Uses Snapshot
Snapshot provides a simple and efficient way to collect and count votes from wallet holders based on predefined rules. It:
- Does not require gas fees.
- Allows voting directly from a wallet, making participation accessible to all eligible users.
- Ensures proposals and votes are publicly visible and verifiable.
- Integrates easily with wallet-based NFT ownership.
Voting Rights
- Voting rights are based on holding specific Bitgrass NFTs.
- Ownership grants participation in governance decisions, such as supporting or rejecting proposals.
- Voting power is determined by a predefined strategy (explained in a separate article) and may vary depending on the number and type of NFTs held.
Participation Requirements
To participate in Bitgrass DAO voting, users must:
- Hold at least one eligible Bitgrass NFT in their wallet.
- Connect their wallet to the official Bitgrass Snapshot space.
- Review and vote on available proposals during the open voting period.
